Gavin Coates

Gavin joined our firm in June 2021 after graduating from Northumbria University in 2021 with a First Class Honours MLaw (Exempting) degree. This degree incorporated the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a Masters qualification.

After working as a Paralegal in our conveyancing department where he gained valuable practical experience, he commenced a period of recognised training in 2024 and will qualify as a solicitor in January 2026.

His training supervisor is Kim Rainford and he is managed day-to-day by Craig Thompson.

Presently, Gavin is continuing to work within our conveyancing department  as this is the practice area he wishes to continue following his qualification as a solicitor but he has gained experience in Wills & Probate and Family Law during his trainee period.

In 2025 Gavin successfully completed the Professional Skills Course at Northumbria University which is a professional requirement which must be passed prior to becoming a fully qualified solicitor.

Currently, Gavin is accepting conveyancing matters for sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers and other property related transactions.
