About Emails

We love to hear from our clients and you are welcome to phone or email us as we want to help you with your matter and/or receive your information.

This information may help if you are sending an email to us.

Telephones
Sometimes our phones are busy especially at peak periods and it is often easier to send us an email.

If our phone lines are busy please could you try to call again later.

We have a call filtering service to help you to reach the right person quicker:

  • Press 1 for Conveyancing quotes and property related queries
  • Press 2 for Ongoing property related queries
  • Press 3 for Family and Children Law queries
  • Press 4 if you want to talk to someone about making a Will or a probate matter

If you stay on the line and don’t choose any of the options you will reach our receptionist.

If you can’t get through to us or need to send us a message in writing please email us.

Your fee earner has direct email and you can ask them for their email address if you need to send them an email, or you can send email to our general email account which is : info@hannayslaw.co.uk

Our conveyancing fee earners receive on average more than a hundred emails each per day. They receive emails from clients, lenders, estate agents and other professionals involved in the conveyancing process.

Email correspondence sent to us has to be considered before we make a response and this means that when we receive an email it may not be replied to immediately.

We have considered installing mail filtering software, but we decided that we would try to answer as many emails as possible within a day of receipt and if not by the next day or as quickly as we can. Sometimes we do not have the answers to the queries raised in an email straightaway and need to check with a third-party and this means that a response to an email may take a little while longer.

Our fee earners and staff will put an ‘out of office notice‘ on their email if they are on holiday or absent. If you need to contact us when your fee earner is not available please call us on 0191 4974630 or 0191 4555361 or email info@hannayslaw.co.uk

Anti-virus

We have taken steps to ensure that our email and any attachments are virus-free but if we send you an email, you  should ensure that you have anti-virus software on your PC or phone and that our email and any attachments are actually virus free before downloading or saving them.

It is best practice to have anti-virus software installed on your PC or phone to ensure that you are not hacked and to prevent sensitive information being accessed.

It is your responsibility to maintain your information securely and safely on your own computer or mobile devices by installing the correct protective software on your PC/mobile device and take steps to prevent cyber-crime affecting you and others.

If you are local to us you are welcome to pop into our office to drop off your documents rather than sending them by email if you would prefer to do that.
