Internet review sites

We have noticed an issue recently concerning negative reviews about our business which are being left on Google.
The problem with review sites like these are that there is very little policing of them and they allow reviews to be left from people who have never used our services.
The most common reason for a people leaving negative feedback on an internet review site about us is that the person leaving the review is on the other side of a legal issue, or in a conflict of interest with our client and we have refused quite rightly not to engage with them and discuss our clients information with them.
The same rules apply to all solicitors.
Google does not allow firms to opt out of their review system and only provides limited grounds to have a review removed and the review not being left by a client and being false does not meet Googles criteria to remove the review!
